Trap and Future Bass duo Hookshot formed in Orlando, Florida. GoonZ (Damion Normand) and Plazmuh (Noah Sharp) met during an AEM class at Full Sal University.  

GoonZ got into music at the age of 12 when his parents bought him his first guitar. He learned a few cords here and there and proceeded to teach himself how to play multiple instruments including bass guitar and drums. GoonZ was also a member of several bands throughout his teenage years. It was during his time in the marine corps that he truly realized his love for the EDM genre. "Every time I listen to a genre, I have to learn how to do it."

Plazmuh was born because of music. His parents met at a singing contest and it was love at first sight. Music has always been a significant part of Plazmuh's life as he was constantly surrounded by it. Plazmuh started his music career by singing. However, even though he loved singing and wanted to pursue it, he could not stand the thought of being in a band. HIs greatest musical influences are from the 60s and 70s.

He also has a great love of Big Band Jazz. After their Full Sail career, Hookshot hopes to remain in the Orlando area for a handful of months as they are in the works of releasing a new album. In November 2018, the duo will be heading to India to perform at the Sunburn Music Festival. Their ultimate goal is to travel the world on a frequent basis to perform and to win lots and lots of Grammys.
